Confessions of a #SmartWorking Intern – Week 27
Hey folks, how are the Friday feels? I for one cannot be more thankful that it is Friday, because my week was nothing short of a whir! I had an assignment due Monday and tons of assignments and jobs to complete this entire week. There was barely any time to sleep or cook, and I won’t get started on the grocery shopping! However, for the sake of the silver lining, I must tell you that I pet a dog on Monday morning after almost 4 months of no animal interaction. For those of you who don’t know, I am an animal rescue and foster volunteer back home in India. So basically that one pat pretty much made my week!
Owing to all madness of this week, I am most thankful today for being a #smartworker. If it wasn’t for Abodoo, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team and work with my brilliant fellow interns because it probably wouldn’t have been a #flexibleworking arrangement. Let’s be honest, it’s tough to get much done when you have a full-time, 9-5 job. So that’s my week in a nutshell, and today I am most thankful for #smartworking. What are you thankful for today? Besides #TGIF of course!
Hi everyone! I hope that you are doing great. It’s the first confessions post of March, and I have so much to talk about. This week I went to see my grandparents and taught English to my cousin sister who is appearing for her boards in a few days. I also had to finalise a lot of arrangements for my brother’s wedding and worked on my showreel as part of a job application. For Abodoo I worked on the email newsletter, social report, and a really interesting infographic on SmartWorking which we will share with you soon.
To bring in my birthday on Sunday, I have decided to sign up for yoga classes in the mornings to help me stay fit and healthy. I wanted to start with a fitness activity for a long time but wasn’t finding the time for it. SmartWorking really strips you of all excuses to not focus on your health. My classes start tomorrow and I can’t wait to begin learning!
Happy Friday!!! I hope you all have been having an amazing week. Mine sadly hasn’t been too great, my schoolwork has been insane and one of my best friends left school yesterday on medical leave. Even with all of this chaos, I feel so supported and reassured by my SmartWorking family. They are here for me no matter what!
This weekend will will be a lot of fun. Tonight I am going to see a concert in Albany, the capital of New York State, with a lot of my friends who graduated from my college last year. On Saturday my college is hosting a “Panhellenic Prom,” a mock-prom where all of the sororities on campus will combine for one big ball! It should be a ton of fun. I hope you all have an incredible weekend!
