Confessions of a SmartWorking Intern : Week 22

Confessions of a SmartWorking Intern : Week 22

25th January 2019 Off By Ashima Madan

As the first month of 2019 comes to a close, and the weather gods of Ireland subject us to some more unpredictability, here’s our last Confessions of a SmartWorking Intern entry for January.

Hi again everyone! Typing this at 5 am in the morning, I am amazed by how easy it is to work in a flexible environment where everyone is super understanding of your personal space and process. It has been a life long struggle to adjust into a 9-5 routine for me and this is a welcome change from that forced alteration of my preferred schedule. Everybody has their natural rhythm of being more productive at certain hours. For me, ever since I was a little child, the quiet of nights has always helped channelise my brain’s creativity. I remember having a diary and penning poems in it at 3 am in the night, or pursuing random craft projects in the wee hours. If you’re a night owl like me, then you should embrace that about yourself instead of restricting yourself to the norm. Trust me, a fluid and compassionate SmartWorking team can do wonders for you.

This week was personally very hectic for me. I rolled out a video and did lots of reporting for social media. I have made documentaries before, but creating a brand video with animated text was particularly challenging for me. With only a couple of days at hand, I was very happy with how it turned out and hope that you liked it as well. I also created an infographic blog post for the coming week and learnt a lot about HubSpot – a software for inbound marketing and sales. That’s all the weekly updates from my end. What new things are brewing for you?

Hello again, everybody! Whew, what a week it has been! Loaded with work (which was fun) plus the dreary weather (not fun!). This week, I basically created more blog post ideas for Abodoo and a few social media posts as well. I haven’t been able to do much though because of a college research proposal I have due. But that shall change next week. Everything I do is either from home or me and my colleagues meet up at a co-working space once a week, which is super fun.

That’s all for this week, but will definitely have more to write the coming Friday. Have a happy weekend everyone! And don’t forget to work smart!
