Confessions of a #SmartWorking Intern: Week 19

7th December 2018 Off By Vithoria Escobar

It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas!! Our fab interns have been busy planning a Christmas post series which starts next week.. you can read all about it from them in today’s post 🙂
We’re so looking forward to our Abodoo Christmas!

Vithoria

Hi all! It’s me, Vithoria back again 🙂

Our Abodoo week was very Christmassy! A bit early maybe for Christmas? Maybe…but we’re planning some really nice things for you all! We had two Zoom calls to talk about Holiday Season content. All the team brainstormed together and we came up with some amazing ideas. It’s lovely to see everyone so motivated and excited!

I’m actually looking forward to our Christmas Lunch next Monday! The #SmartWorking Team get-together. I’m sure it will be brilliant because it’s always fun to meet the Abodoo team. Also, we are meeting our CEO Sue in person as well! It’s funny to think it’s the first time actually seeing her because we’re all together in our Zoom calls every week.

Besides work, my week was full of packing as I’m moving to a new house today. I’m really happy but packing feels endless and there is so much to do. However, #SmartWorking is perfect in this case as I could manage and organize my hours between packing and writing.

That’s all for this week people! See you next time 🙂

Hi all!

I’m back and first I want to thank you for sharing your exciting stories.

In this post, I’d like to answer some of the questions I get asked about #SmartWorking. Especially those with a technical background and starting their career working in an office. They ask me: how does it feel and if I have any issues with coding while #SmartWorking? Well, there is plenty of #SmartWorking applications designed for technical guys.

The other question is: What about the place? I believe that if you’re in your comfortable environment, you end up being more productive. Obviously, people feel nice and safe in their home.  I remember during the sunny days I used to go to my terrace to code and it was an entirely different experience.

Final question: Do you feel distracted working from home? I feel that’s not a matter of the place, but your personality and your focus. In my previous company, some people were spending 8 hours on their smartphone or doing something completely different from work.

That’s all for this week. Please share  your stories, questions and comments with us on our website.

Hello everybody,

Another busy but very constructive week.

As I mentioned last week, I did a presentation at my English School about Abodoo. All my classmates loved it and they actually mentioned that #SmartWorking is the work of the future.

I finally finished my task with co-working hubs website!! I researched about 721 companies. Now on to my next challenge of the remaining 10,000 UK hubs!

I’m really looking forward to our Christmas Lunch on Monday. I feel happier every day being part of the Abodoo team! 🙂

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
