Just to quickly recap: we are Vithoria (content writer and marketing intern) from Brazil; Shivtej (wonderful data analyst and developer) from India; and our latest addition is Lilian (marketing, sales and project intern) also from Brazil.
We hope you enjoy this week’s adventures in our Confessions of a #SmartWorking Intern diary!

Hi guys, how are you all feeling?
This week felt really intense for me. And cold! It’s time to admit to myself that winter has arrived. It’s my third winter in Ireland and it is still such a struggle to see the sky go dark at 5pm.
Monday was one of those days that I sat down to write a piece and nothing came to my mind. I researched so much, I knew everything I wanted to write about but I was still lacking inspiration.
Then on Tuesday morning I meditated after a long time and went to my dance class in the afternoon. I felt so energised with the endorphin that I went home and I wrote almost everything at once. I was still a bit unsure with my writing but received positive feedback which gave me a boost.
The rest of the week flew and more positively but if you also felt a heavy energy like I did, you might want to blame the stars. Astrology is a big passion of mine and according to the planets we are in a retrograde period. So it’s a good time to bring our attention to the past, reconnect to our inner selves to move forward with our plans.
At last, I am on a cloud nine as on Sunday I’m heading to Portugal to meet my dad, my sister, my uncle and my auntie. The only “bad” side is I’ll miss my favourite Irish Holiday, which is Halloween! However it seems like the perfect timing to get a break from the cold, find inspiration and re-energise with some family love! I’ll be continuing my #SmartWorking from Portugal next week and look forward to sharing my experiences with you!
Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
Shivtej
Hi all! It always feels good to talk to you through my articles.
This week was excellent. I am so happy to tell you that I achieved ALL the targets I set for myself for the last three weeks. Setting small goals and accomplishing them makes you more energetic and motivated to start a new week. I do agree that it can be harder for some people but I believe it is all about how dedicated and focused you are. Also, achieving small victories little by little helps you to get closer to your lifelong dream.
Whenever I set up my goals, I follow one rule. Are you curious? I’ll tell you now:
“Its crime to dream small” – Abdul Kalam.
We all have our own dreams and ambitions in life. We are not always focused and dedicated on the tasks we have to do to achieve it. You can do anything: yoga, exercise, reading, attending seminars on a topic you are passionate about. But all these things take time. Most people spend so much time on commuting that they don’t have time to follow their own ambitions. However, if you are a #SmartWorker that’s definitely something you don’t need to worry about.

Hi everyone!
Last week I don’t think I properly introduced myself to you all.
I feel flattered and lucky to join Abodoo team! Beyond from improving my CV and my English, I am learning so much! I am doing an MBA in Marketing and joining Abodoo awoke my love for my area of expertise.
My main responsibilities include managing Smart Villages and CoWorking Hubs inquiries, conducting research and supporting Sales and Marketing. My main goal with Abodoo is to get as much knowledge and cultural learning as I can to treasure for all my life and that has already started with such a great team 🙂
